About

An honest instrument leaves its workings visible

Ledger note

Networthy is a financial publication crossed with a working calculator—not a brokerage, bank account, or promise of advice.

Opening entry

A calculator earns trust by making disagreement easy.

No invented founder. No borrowed authority.

Networthy is published around a method: calculate what can be calculated, label what was assumed, and keep the missing context visible. Until real founder details and credentials are supplied, the site does not manufacture them to make the work sound more established than it is.

The same rule applies to testimonials, client counts, assets, regulatory status, and performance. Silence is more credible than a placeholder dressed as proof.

A-01

Show the assumption beside the result

Every projection is conditional. Moving the rate should be easier than mistaking it for a promise.

Confidence that was not earned

A number someone can challenge, change, and reproduce

A-02

Price the guaranteed side first

Uncertain returns have to clear a higher bar when a certain cost is already compounding.

Exciting upside used to distract from certain interest cost

Debt payoff treated as a guaranteed return equal to the rate avoided

A-03

Keep private numbers on the device

A calculator should not need a profile of the person using it.

An email gate or hidden upload

Browser-local inputs and named working copies

A-04

Let a model admit what it cannot know

Purpose, risk tolerance, tax law, and the future do not fit inside one formula.

A false verdict dressed as precision

Explicit omissions, primary sources, and a useful next question

Test the method

Put one real decision through a calculator, then make its most flattering assumption worse.
